      I think "tanyao" (without the apostrophe) is okay. That is how it is almost always written in translated video games, English-language documents and wikis (other than Wikipedia), online discussions, etc.

      Drafting a change to have "tanyao" as a gloss, as discussed in entry 2753060.
      If it's approved, 2749690・断ヤオ九 needs to be aligned.
      I see in some entries we use "tan'yao". We should perhaps settle on one or the other.
