      I agree with Robin. This is too confusing. Besides, it's not "_usu._ in the negative" but always in the negative.

      i always get confused about the notes on the negative glosses.  for example, does the english gloss that is given correspond to the headword (めどが立つ) or to the negative form mentioned in the note (~のめどが立たない)?  in some cases it is obvious but i don't think we have been consistent about this
