| Comments: | I found the phrase "時計に目を走らせる" in a context that made the meaning fairly clear (and the phrase gets 126,000 similar google hits). I've entered it as the causative 走らせる because from what I can figure, the regular verb form 目を走る means something else, along the lines of "to go once around (a track, a game board, etc)"... many of the search hits relate to cycling (e.g., 1周目を走る). "時計に目を走る" gets zero hits. 目を走る could be a separate entry, but I'm not confident in my comprehension of the meaning. |
