In one of the example sentences discussing UFOs, the English is grammatically
incorrect (ie "an UFO") and otherwise does not sound like a native English
speaker has checked this. The author was likely Japanese (as Japanese people
pronounce UFO as "oo-fo" instead of as an abbreviation, which WOULD make
"an" correct) and unfortunately the sentences probably are not very useful to
people learning Japanese.
I would also like to add that the English definition "in a body" seems a bit off. I
would think a phrase like "all together" or "as a whole" would be more
appropriate. Maybe in some cases "united". |
