i doubt having 'jealousy' hurts if it's a gloss toward the end.  certainly appropriate in some translations

The main meaning in the jdics is going mad/losing one's reason (理性) because of love/amorous feelings. Jealousy fits in with this. This term seems to be used esp in correlation with crime.
