* [adv-to] – takes optional と (as per daijr and Google searches, e.g., "ころころと変わる")
* examples and slight wording
Dicts differ on how they sort the sound effects: GG5 separates out insects chirping, daijr separates out frogs croaking, etc. In English these are separate and have specific sounds, so seems clearer to have them separate (frogs ribbit or croak, insects chirp, and these are separate from bells ringing etc.).
Several dicts give the “sumo wrestlers being defeated”, which seems a fixed use (understandable given sequence of bouts).</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>A we don't xref synonyms? what a shame, I think that's one of the most useful things about xrefs (which also many monolingual dictionaries do). I mean, if there was already an xref it would ahave saved me the trouble of googling around for 10 minutes since I wasn't sure what the more technical term for コロコロ was, if I had an xref it would have seriously helped me so I am sure it would be the same for others. Sad to here that this feature is unwanted, I don't see how it's not helpful but if that's the rules then it's the rules. I also wonder what the barrier for "colloquial" is, it seems very arbitrary to me, I really cannot imagine ever using コロコロ in a formal setting if I am fully honest, that sounds so off to me.</upd_detl>
