<upd_detl>'themself' alone is grammatically questionable, as is 'every~one~ for themselv~es~'. if going one way or the other, i think 'themself' is definitely the better choice. otherwise we could just have 'every man for himself;every woman for herself'</upd_detl>

I think it's much closer to 我先に, the refs for it also note that its meaning is similar to われがちに

I think it'd be better to either transform this entry into it's adverbial form or have a seperate entry with it, which feels a bit redundant.
Only Nikkoku and Daijs have it tagged as 形動, Daijs has 形動ナリ
