<upd_refs>None of the refs say that the phlegm sense can be written as 啖呵, so this merge is a little uncomfortable. We don't usually include this sort of etymological info.

Daijisen is the only ref that doesn't express doubt about the origin. Shinmeikai ("「痰火」の変化という"), daijirin ("「弾呵」か。「痰火」の転とする説もある"), and koj ("ダンカ（弾呵）の転訛か") express doubt or say it could have originated from 弾呵 instead.

Most kokugos just don't mention the etymology. I think we should just drop it or split it into a separate entry.


Based on collocations with （を）〈切／き〉〈る／っ〉, it seems 啖呵 is not [uk].
