(b) we wouldn't add a second irregular kanji form to such a common entry purely on the basis of it's possible alignment with the 10th sense.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I agree, that's why, to be clear, I'm suggesting to add it as [sK] to that entry, and then a note for this sense, "can also be colloquially written as 勃つ", just like in daijs, and in line with many other entries here. If you search for 勃起 立つ it will be obvious 立つ for erection is more common than 勃つ.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I think this being folded into 立つ is fine now that we can tag 勃つ as sK and add a note instead of doing a million restrictions. It seems consistent with what we're doing recently.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I hadn't realized we had split out 起つ and 発つ as well. I understand the reason why and I understand the advantage of keeping this in a separate entry too, but I'm a little uncomfortable how we don't have a clear policy we're following here.</upd_detl>
