there are two words at play here: うちのめす and ぶちのめす
they're both about equally common.
うちのめす tends to be written with kanji while ぶちのめす isn't.
if you were to ask a japanese person how 打ちのめす is read, they'd respond うちのめす
if there was a possibility to add [uk] to a reading alone (ぶちのめす), that would work
perhaps this should be split? it fits the 2/3 rule though.</upd_detl>

<upd_refs>Daijr, GG5, etc. All have 打ちのめす/ぶちのめす pointing to 打ちのめす/うちのめす, which confirms Luce's point. I don't think we can make ぶちのめす "nokanji", so mabe the comment works.</upd_refs>
