<upd_detl>Somehow we need to make clear that this is usually in the negative. I'm not sure that 2 senses is the way to go, but it's difficult to do it in one sense.

<upd_detl>i always get confused about the notes on the negative glosses. for example, does the english gloss that is given correspond to the headword (めどが立つ) or to the negative form mentioned in the note (～のめどが立たない)? in some cases it is obvious but i don't think we have been consistent about this</upd_detl>
