I have been able to get the display of n-gram counts back
after a fashion after an absence of nearly 9 months.
The data and software were recovered a while back, but it's only recently
that the server they're on has become visible to the world. I haven't been
able to get CGI running on it, so I have hacked together an alternative
which works, albeit slowly.
The lookup page is at http://www.edrdg.org/~jwb/ngramcountswww.html
Once you request the counts you are given the address of the results
page at Melbourne Uni. A cron job there collects the requests every 30
seconds and generates the result page(s). It's a bit clunky but at least
it works.
I'd move the whole thing to the edrdg.org server, but it's about 60Gb
of data.
Cheers
Jim
