As list-Nazis go, you're A-OK in my book Jim.
My friend of the court brief is simply that Dennis is that one guy that no matter how caustic, insensitive, arrogant or egotistical anyone of us has ever been, we could look to him and be reminded that we had at least gotten some measure of control over ourselves. I had been wondering how long you were going to allow the mailing list to become Narcissus' reflective pool, but nevertheless, I will miss those regular reassurances and have been duly entertained, diligently reading only your postings more faithfully than the dear departed member...
How's your daughter doing BTW? I hope she's come out of the woods. If its not too personal, please give us an update.

As some of you know, Dennis's postings are moderated. I put him in this mode a year or so ago, as I was concerned at the level of personal attacks he was making on list members, including me. On at least one occasion I have rejected his postings; most recently when he attempted to reveal personal and sensitive information about a list member.
When I read these two most recent contributions to the discussion on ?Û¤¹¤ë, I am afraid I felt I had had enough. I origi
ally invited him to join the list because I thought he had something to contribute, and I felt a multi-member forum would be a good vehicle for the lengthy emails he had been sending me directly. I can skip over the non-stop chest-thumping and self-aggrandizement, but I am afraid the constant sarcasm, blatant distortions and ad hominem attacks have worn me down. I have little time to spare at present, and I don't really have to put up with nonsense like: `things get bogged down here if I don't jump in every now and then and "stir the pot".
So, with some misgivings, I have decided to drop Dennis from the list. I have never done this before, and I hate the role of "list-Nazi". I will willingly listen to argeuments for his re-instatement, but for now I need a break.
