Re: [edict-jmdict] JMdict/EDICT update backlog

Hi,

I'm new to this newsgroup so I wasn't aware you were developping a new system. But while reading the whole discussion it sounds like something I've been (and am still) developping. My application may not suit to jmdict, but it may be what you want for editing the examples from the Tanaka Corpus.

So far the URL to my project is http://wwwcyg.utc.fr/tatoeba/

Here's an explanation of how my system works :

You will excuse me if there are any mistakes, I'm not a native English speaker.

The search engine isn't really operationnal yet so in case you would like to try searching :
- Make sure that "Lucene" is checked (Lucene is the name of the search engine). You could search without Lucene, but it's going to be slow.
- If you're going to use small words (3 letters or less), use quotes.
   Ex : where do you live
 => where "do you" live.
 => "where do you live"
 => "where do you" live
 Whatever you want, but do not leave the little words alone =)  Otherwise it's going to be even slower than searching without Lucene.

And for Paul, here I uploaded screenshots of the validation interface, because you can't access to that unless you're a moderator.

If you believe that can help you in anything, just let me know =).
