Re: [edict-jmdict] IPADIC etc

Anybody with excellent searching skills able to find a large, free, dictionary file of Japanese words and Japanese definitions to cross with JMDICT? My Japanese web searching skills are not the best.

First word I tried in wiktionary had no entry...

So that avenue doesn't seem too worthy. But surely, somewhere out there is an ordinary dictionary.

In my madding search for this elusive file, I did happen upon a great IT dictionary:

which would be great to scan for not yet JMDICT words (OK, legal) as well as Japanese defs (probably not legal but maybe somewhere out there is a public file).

Would be a fantastic addition to JMDICT to land a Japanese dictionary IMHO.

The original IPAL lexicons had definitions, but as far as I know they
have never been freely released, and so couldn't be easily
incorporated with JMDict. I am pretty sure that they are not
incorporated in the ipadic files distributed with ChaSen. The only
unecumbered source I can think of is the Japanese wiktionary.
