Hi, as you hinted at in another post, using a dictionary takes some explanations and getting used to. Aside from that, i think that for anybody with a basic understanding of Japanese "vs" wil be obvious after a few lookups even without any explanation. :-)
A supporting comment on the matter of useability:
I would like to see the interface kept as simple as possible, in terms of what browser can be used to access the dictionary, etc., and that means HTML only, if possible. There are already uncountable websites "out there" that either don't display properly, if at all, or make my browsers seize up or churn forever or what have you.
At least, with a deceptive trick (making the browser preted it was a newer version) i got Eijiro to work with Navigator 4, although the interface is coded to demand Navigator 6 as a minimum and will not normally show anything beyond an error message if you use it with an older browser. Having used it with a modified Navigator version 4 for several months now, there is nothing missing in functionality that i could see, so the coded minimum requirement appears to be completely arbitrary.
Would like to see WWWJDIC not get into that kind of territory but stay clean and simple and accessible for anybody...
