I think only a couple, typically where you suggested merging abbreviations
with the full form, e.g. マザーコン with マザーコンプレックス. In those
cases I link them with a cross-reference.

A bulk-updater would be *really* useful. I can imagine some simple
sort scripting system would be a possibility.
