I don't much care myself, but surely for the 'backdoor' the obvious
thing is to have a way of specifying the various options encoded in
the URL? Nobody's going to be typing them in by hand so it doesn't
matter if it's two characters longer...

While we're on the subject, my personal wishlist for the 'translate
words in text' would be to have the translations include all the
hyperlinks ([V][Ex][G][GI][S] etc) that the main WWWJDIC word lookup
interface does. At the moment if you want to see other example
sentences for a word you have to cut-n-paste it into a separate
WWWJDIC lookup...
